Liu Xiaobo Discusses Freedom of Expression in China

  1. I think that whenever an individual attempts to create a free and democratic society by criticizing repressive and oppressive schemes of the government is slapped down my severe imprisonment and confinement. why is it that when iconic personalities like liu or Aung sa suu kyi foreground the inefficiencies of the government by subversive and resisting acts are arrested in the name of threatening national integrity and security? silencing the voices of those who stand against injustice and forms of tyrannical governance cannot in any way deter other members of an "awakened" society from posing challenges to a government, dressed in dictatorial edifice...it will crack one day...an arrest of a Liu or Aung will breed another class of such revolutionaries...
